The Process

When we receive your order, we immediately log your order and inspect the disc(s) for severity of damage. We check for warping, cracking, splitting or other damage that would deem the repair impossible. Once the severity of damage is determined, the disc is prepared for the appropriate level of refinish. Deeply gouged discs may go through as many as six stages of repair.

Using precision sanding machines, we ensure that the scratches are removed without removing excessive material from the plastic layer surface. With each wet sanding stage, the surface is carefully returned to its original state. A final polish and buffing stage returns the disc surface to a shiny 'like new' appearance that produces optical clarity and uninterrupted play.

Once complete, the disc is visually checked and digitally inspected to ensure integrity of the finished disc. Your discs are carefully stored and securely packaged for return shipping.

When discs become scratched, scraped or gouged, cleaning kits and home repair devices are just not enough. At best, devices like the Skip Doctor may remove your skips.
